Our Brian Maidman is pulling out the stops in a superhuman effort to clamber the Welsh Three Peaks in July. It’s a 17-mile challenge with ascent of 1500 meters in 24 hours… and he’s doing it to raise £3,000 for Bournemouth Hospital Charity.

He said: “Having seen the great work the charity has achieved in the recent years I felt I wanted to do something to help and get involved. I have a birthday in September ending in a BIG FAT ZERO and it’s amazing how this focusses your attention on personal fitness, general health and well being. What better way than to conquer the Welsh Three Peaks with a group of like-minded individuals, take in some breath-taking views and raise some money for such a worthwhile charity. Please help me raise £3000!”

If you’d like to chip in to help Brian reach – and hopefully exceed – his target, please donate at this JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/Brian-Maidman

The Welsh Three Peaks Challenge, lesser known than the National or Yorkshire Challenges, takes in the three peaks of Wales: Snowdon in the North, Cadair Idris in mid-Wales, and Pen-y-Fan in the South.

Bournemouth Hospital Charity aims to make a difference to every patient that is treated at its hospitals – above and beyond that which can be provided through NHS funding. Through donors’ support they can speed up patient treatment, reduce patient anxiety, aid quicker recovery and provide less intrusive treatment for patients. Well worth supporting, we say!
